Summary

Updated for the 2025 AAQ specification. 

These resources cover the Issues of using IT systems over four topics plus an end-of-unit assessment. Each of the topics contain enough content for one to two lessons of material in addition to appropriate case studies and scenarios to help demonstrate the use of IT in business and industry. The issues surrounding privacy and online behaviour are dealt with in the first lesson. This is followed by a dedicated topic on the environmental impact of IT systems. Topic 3 deals with the meaning of moral and ethical factors along with unequal access to information technology and access to assistive technology. After the final lesson there is assessment test comprising questions of a similar style to those found on the BTEC unit 1 exam paper.
